einvoice-check validates a UBL, CII, or Factur-X invoice against a subset of the EN16931 business rules and returns a score with per-rule results and suggested fixes. It can also generate a minimal valid UBL and CII invoice from the fields you enter. Coverage is a readiness check, not the full rule set, and passing does not by itself make an invoice legally compliant.
The validator does not store the invoices you check. It processes the content you send in memory, returns a report, and keeps nothing of the file: not the invoice, not the parties on it, not a log of its content. It does not collect personal data from the invoices. We keep only usage counts, such as which syntax was checked and the resulting score, so we can understand how the tool is used.
Like any web server, ours receives your IP address and browser details with each request. They are used for rate limiting (the Free tier's daily cap is counted against a salted daily hash of your address, not the address itself), for security and to keep the service running. Our edge server keeps an access log (IP address, the requested address including any query string, and the time) that is size-capped, in practice about a week; the application itself keeps no access log. Logs are not used to profile you.
We measure page views with our own self-hosted analytics. It sets no cookies. It stores a random identifier in your browser's local storage, and it records the pages you view including their query string, the referring page, your screen size and browser language. Session replay is switched on: it records the page as it is displayed, with mouse movement, scrolling, clicks and page changes. Text you type into a field is masked, and the areas that show your validation results or a generated invoice are blocked from the recording entirely. Replay recordings are deleted after 30 days; page-view statistics are kept for 10 years. We also count visits on the server with a daily rotating hash of your address and browser string; the raw address is not stored in the analytics data and the hash cannot be linked across days. We do not use third-party trackers or advertising pixels.
If you ask to be notified about the API, we store the email address you provide, the date, and the note you sent with it, so we can tell you when the API is live. We keep it for 24 months after your last contact with us. The address is also recorded in our customer contact system, which is shared across our products so that one unsubscribe or deletion request covers all of them.
We add your address to our product news mailing list only if you tick the box that says so. The box is off by default. When you tick it we store a consent record (your email, the time, the form and the checkbox wording) in our own database. Emails are sent through Brevo, our email provider, and every mailing carries an unsubscribe link. A hidden copy of every email we send goes to an internal company mailbox so we can check delivery. If you buy Pro, your API key and payment related messages are sent to you by email; those messages are needed to deliver what you bought and are not marketing.
You can ask for a copy or the deletion of this data at any time using the contact address below. The full privacy notice lists every recipient, retention period and legal basis.
The service is provided on a best effort basis. It is designed to fail safe: an invoice it cannot read comes back as a clear message, never a crash, and nothing you paste leaves your report.
Paid plans are sold through Stripe Managed Payments. For each purchase Link, LLC, a Stripe company, is the merchant of record and handles invoicing, applicable VAT, receipts, refunds and statutory withdrawal rights for customers in the relevant jurisdictions. Your card details are entered on Stripe's checkout page and never reach our servers.
