The AI Disclosure Widget detects common AI chat and assistant tools on a page where it is installed and displays a disclosure notice indicating that the visitor is interacting with an AI system. It also records, for the site owner, when the notice was shown.
The widget sets no cookies and writes nothing to your visitors' browser storage. It does not read message contents and it does not collect personal data from the chats or pages it runs on. When a visitor loads a page with the widget, their browser makes up to three requests to our server: it loads the script, fetches your site's configuration and, when a notice is shown, sends a short evidence beacon. The evidence log records only your site key, which AI tools were detected on the page, the language the notice was rendered in and a server timestamp. It contains no IP address and no browser string, and our analytics counts a widget load as a bare number without deriving anything from the visitor.
Like any web server, ours does receive the visitor's IP address and browser details with those requests. The application does not log them; the IP address appears only in the size-capped access logs kept at our network edge (in practice about a week) for security and abuse protection, and is not used to identify or profile anyone. You remain the controller for your own visitors; we process the evidence log on your behalf.
When you register a site, we store the email address you provide, the domain you enter, the site key and token we issue, your plan and the date, so we can serve your configuration, issue your key and contact you about the service. The address is also recorded in our customer contact system, which is shared across our products so that one unsubscribe or deletion request covers all of them.
We add your address to our product news mailing list only if you tick the box that says so. The box is off by default. When you tick it we store a consent record (your address, the time, the form and the checkbox wording) in our own database, and without that record we do not add you to the list. Emails are sent through Brevo, our email provider, and every mailing carries an unsubscribe link. If you buy a plan, the confirmation and payment related messages are sent to you by email; those messages are needed to deliver what you bought and are not marketing.
On this website (not on your site) we measure page views with our own self-hosted analytics. It sets no cookies. It does store a random identifier in your browser's local storage, and it records the pages you view including their query string, the referring page, your screen size and browser language. Session replay is switched on: it records the page as it is displayed, with text you type masked and your registration result blocked from the recording, and recordings are deleted after 30 days. Page-view statistics are kept for 10 years. We also count visits on the server with a daily rotating hash of your IP address and browser string; the raw address is not stored in the analytics data and the hash cannot be linked across days. Our edge server's access logs contain your IP address, for security. We do not use third-party trackers or advertising pixels.
You can ask for a copy or the deletion of this data at any time using the contact address below. The full privacy notice lists every recipient, retention period and legal basis.
The service is provided on a best effort basis. The widget is designed to fail safe: if the configuration cannot be reached, it still shows the default notice, and it never blocks or breaks the page it runs on.
Paid plans are billed through Stripe. Under Stripe Managed Payments, Link, LLC (a Stripe company) acts as merchant of record for each purchase and handles invoicing, applicable VAT, receipts, refunds and statutory withdrawal rights for customers in the relevant jurisdictions. Your card details are entered on Stripe's checkout page and never reach our servers; we receive your email address, the plan you chose and the subscription and session identifiers so we can activate your plan.
