EU AI Act Article 50 applies from August 2

Your chatbot must tell people it is AI. EU law, August 2.

If visitors can talk to an AI system on your site, the law says you have to tell them, clearly and in time. Paste one snippet. It finds your chatbot, shows the notice, and keeps the wording current as guidance changes.

No account needed to try it. The notice in the bottom right corner of this page is the live widget, running right now.

How it works

Three steps. No developer, no legal team, no ongoing effort.

1

Paste the snippet

One line of code, or the WordPress plugin, Shopify embed, or Google Tag Manager tag. Works on any site.

2

We detect and show the notice

The widget finds your chat or AI assistant automatically and displays a clear, accessible, localized disclosure that meets the Article 50 requirement.

3

It stays compliant

When the wording or guidance changes, every site you installed on updates on its own. You also get a timestamped log proving the notice was live.

Why not just write the notice yourself?

You can. Plenty of free templates exist. Here is what a static line of text you paste once does not do.

Honest answers

The questions people actually ask before installing.

Does this guarantee I am compliant?

No, and be wary of any tool that says it does. Compliance depends on how you use AI, what you disclose, and your own review. What this does is implement the on page disclosure notice that Article 50 asks for, keep it current, and give you a record that it ran. This is not legal advice.

What exactly does the widget do?

It detects common AI chat and assistant tools on your page, then shows a short, clear notice that the visitor is dealing with an AI system, with a click to read more. It also records, without any personal data, when the notice was shown.

Will it slow down or clutter my site?

No. It is a tiny script with no dependencies, it does not shift your layout, and the notice sits in its own isolated bubble so it cannot clash with your styles.

Does it collect visitor data?

No cookies and no personal data. The only thing recorded is which AI tools were detected and in which language the notice appeared, for your own audit trail.

What if the Commission changes the wording?

That is the point of a hosted widget. When the notice needs to change, we update it once and every site you installed on picks it up, with nothing for you to redeploy.

My AI is not a chatbot. It generates content or images.

The paid plans include label templates for AI generated content and media, which also fall under the transparency rules. You configure which uses apply and the widget provides the matching disclosure.
